A bit early but hehe i will never get 06 christmas back
Fine Christmas
Brown eyes, wide eyed all up in my face.
I’m not complaining. Eyes peering out your
Frames. Thinking back I was truly happy.
Saw you there stuffing your face. I should delight
In that should’nt I?
Tobi all smiles, heavy heart evaporated. Walking on
Some unpredictable substance. The matters of the heart
Forgotten for one moment. Joy all round spreading like some
Nasty infection. Goodness ringing bells in true harmony.
Unwrapped an amazing notebook. From a friend I didn’t
Know I had. How thoughtful of her. Suppose she recognised
Drinking all round, christened myself into a binge.
Turkey in the lonely oven. Fat sizzling away in a tasty body.
Stuffed rear end oozing suprises. Watchful turkey shepherd
Eyes drift by to see if the job is done. A cold pale colour giving way to
A vibrant crispy golden brown. Supporting turkey bacon strips share
Their smokiness.
Ancient Carols flying to the ceiling. Even the inharmonious
Reaching the notes never accomplished during the year. We all
Pretend the sound is sweet. Isn’t it a sight to see the smiles
Ear to ear. To feel that tiny spirit bubbling inside you, brewing
And fermenting away.
He was astounding in his smile phase. His eyes exotic with excitement.
His voice polished with happiness. Thank you for a fine Christmas. Man
Up there can I have some more please with plenty good cheer.
Can the rest of the world be happy to, even the lonesome wonders.
Can they find a little comfort in the joyous festival.
Shoe upon shoe, sitting at the door, the slow humming of laughter
In the hall. Babies gently snoring. Good bacteria swishing and swashing away.
Their priceless cliché goodies. Mother comes to shut the door.
The fires blazing and Christmas is no more.
T’ was a fine Christmas dear .
