Ever changing
Ever changing
In the beginning
A pair of eyes observe in the distance,
as the young girls in Year 7
Dance among daises .
Without a care in the world.
Life has no definite direction
They enter La Retraite as a rough sketch not quite refined
To the tune of todays world.
The slow metamorphis is beginning
Transition
Things change rapidly , the young girls become young ladies
With wild aspirations soaring amongst colourful sky lines
Things deemed impossible become possible. The unthinkable becomes thinkable
The teachers are busy moulding the clay, trying to remove any imperfections.
Constantly striving to extract the best from us.
Observing quietly and not always so obviously is you *********,
Monitoring ,checking to see the pottery is coming along nicely. Constantly caring about the end product.
The End
The young women walk gracefully amongst roses and jasmine experienced and mature
In their approach to life. The old loud laughter is replaced with a pleasant smile and minute giggle.
Weary but ready to face the world. The confidence we have shines above the surface.
The wise words and teachings which at times may have seemed harsh is music to our ears
They are no longer rules they are indeed a way of life. The young women beginning their journey
Into the vast world, only looking back to salute La Retraite for all it has done for us. They too
Coming to the end of the journey having made it are relieved but never ever forgetful of what you have done for us.
But as the caretaker locks up each night.
Their old self’s can be heard wandering the corridors.
Thank You.
